    Claire Deutsch

    Claire Deutsch was born in 1982 in Strasbourg. After studying modern literature, she worked as an elementary school teacher. In 2007, she began training as an actress at La Manufacture.

    After leaving the school in 2010, she plays in productions by Vincent Brayer, Jean-Yves Ruf, Krystian Lupa, Francine Wohnlich, Julia Perrazini, Adrien Barazzone, Aurélien Patouillard, Catherine Delmar, Audrey Cavélius, Magali Tosato, Cosima Weiter and Alexandre Simon, Jean-Baptiste Roybon, Oscar Gomez Mata, Trân Trân, Isis Fahmy, and the Founders. She participates in collective creations with the Cie Post Tenebras Lux and the Distillerie Cie.

    In 2014, she founded with five comrades of the Manufacture the Collectif Sur Un Malentendu with which they staged three plays. In 2016, she directed Nouveau monde, in 2018 BourBon, and created her own company, Vasistas, also in 2018. In 2020 she participates in Laurent Berger's research work at La Manufacture, WS0.

    For the 2020-21 season, she creates H.S. with the Collectif Sur Un Malentendu, a show for a teenage audience, co-produced by the Comédie de Genève and Ci-gît Georges with the Compagnie Vasistas at Théâtre 2.21.
