Jeanne Kleinman graduated with a first Master's degree in theatre creation at La Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. She also followed a course in writing and performance at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In parallel with her studies, she worked as an assistant to directors including Élise Vigier, Marcial Di Fonzo Bo, Frédérique Loliée, Stefan Kaegi and Loïc Touzé. Having arrived at La Manufacture with the desire to direct, she developed a research project around the word-testimony: how to mount, fictionalize, these stories on stage. For her end-of-studies creation, entitled "Melián 2856", she questioned, through her family's memories, the representation and transmission of these documentary objects.
