    Swiss Dance Days 2022

The Swiss Dance Days showcase high-class Swiss dance creations selected from 146 dance pieces created during the past two years. Here is an overview of the graduates of the Bachelor in Contemporary Dance to discover from February 2 to 6, 2022 in Basel!

In 2021 the Swiss Dance Days had to be cancelled due to the Covid pandemic, they will take place from February 2 to 6, 2022, once again in Basel. This international platform of Swiss dance will be organized by the following partners: junges theater basel, Kaserne Basel, ROXY Birsfelden, Neues Theater Dornach, Theater Basel, Vorstadttheater Basel and Reso –Dance Network Switzerland.

Among approximately 150 pieces premiered since 2019, the jury has selected twelve remarkable Swiss dance productions. We look forward to dynamic, humorous and powerful physical studies and autobiographical works full of performative joy and the courage to question virtuosity. A special focus is on several powerful works from the younger generation of Swiss choreographers.

La Manufacture is delighted to find several graduates of the Bachelor of Contemporary Dance program among the selected ones.

The Moost Company will present Les promesses de l'incertitude, directed and performed by Marc Oosterhoff (graduate in 2017), with the complicit gaze and support of Pauline Castelli (Master Theatre graduate in 2018) in dramaturgy.

We will also find the Cie PP, a duo formed by Romane Peytavin and Pierre Piton (graduates in 2017), with the piece Farewell Body, and the Ouinch-Ouinch collective, composed of Marius Barthaux, Simon Crettol, Karine Dahouindji and Nicolas Mayorga Ramirez (graduates in 2018) with their first creation-performance Happy Hype.

Simon Crettol will also perform in Sorry, do the tour. Again! created by Marco Berrettini.

Alex Landa Aguirreche (graduate in 2017) is collaborating with choreographer and jury member Foofwa d'Imobilité, with whom he will perform a duet for this edition's Carte Blanche, entitled Voyage.
