    Fabio Bergamaschi

Born on July 4, 1974 in Parma (Italy), Fabio Bergamaschi studied classical and modern dance, contact dance and improvisation at the Dance-Theatre Workshop of Milan within the Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Art. After receiving a scholarship, he joined the School of Specialization for Dancers, coordinated by the Art/Aterballetto Dance Company of Reggio Emilia (IT).

Since 2002 he has been particularly interested in improvisation in creation while working as a choreographic assistant in the Alias Company, of which he has become one of the main performers for over 15 years.

In February 2015 he successfully obtained the CAS of cultural mediator from the HES-SO in Lausanne. As a cultural mediator in dance he collaborates in various projects of mediation and sensitization, such as Danse en Famille, Biennale de Lyon, Danse à L'école, Atelier de Médiation au théâtre de l'ADC, with the precious collaboration of pedagogues/choreographers such as Nathalie Tacchella, Catherine Egger or Manon Hotte.

Fabio also teaches improvisation in the form of workshops/internships as part of the Studio-Théâtre actor training program of Alexandre Paita, and contact-improvisation with the CI Association of Geneva.

In parallel, he collaborates with many choreographers and companies in Geneva, Switzerland and Europe: Estuaire Cie, Jerycan Cie, 3art3 Company, Prototype Status Cie, Yan Duyvendak Cie.
