    Jeremy Nedd

Jeremy Nedd, born in 1985, grew up in Brooklyn (NY). He is a dancer, choreographer and sound designer. His collaboration with the Pantsula artists from Johannesburg is groundbreaking for an international collaboration that manages to establish a practice at eye level despite the colonial relationship. After studying dance at SUNY Purchase College in New York, he worked with various choreographers in New York City, in particular with the African-American choreographer Kyle Abraham, who mixes hip-hop, street dance and expressive dance. Jeremy Nedd has lived in Europe since 2010. He danced at the Semperoper in Dresden (2010-2012) and at Ballett Basel (2012-2016). From Basel, he is associated with the Schauspielhaus Zurich and the Neumarkt Theatre as a guest performer. He received the New York Dance and Performance ‘Bessie’ Award for his performance in Kyle Abraham's ‘The Radio Show’. In 2017, he was a finalist for PREMIO, an important prize for up-and-coming talent in the performing arts in Switzerland. Most recently, he completed a Master's degree in Expanded Theatre at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB).
