    Béatrice Houplain

    Béatrice Houplain trained at the Cours Florent and at the Nanterre-Amandiers acting school (Patrice Chéreau and Pierre Roman).

    In her approach as an artist, the act of transmission has always constituted the possibility of a gesture of perpetual questioning. She teaches in various national schools for actors and directors: La Manufacture, ERAC (Cannes, Marseille), Ecole de la Comédie de Saint-Etienne, and created the drama department of the ENMT in Colmar (National Conservatory of Music and Theatre), as well as the Classe Prépa égalité des chances at the MC93 with Nicolas Bigard.


    Actor and performer: for Robert Cantarella (Le Musée vivant), Wagner Schwartz (Mal secreto), Judith Cahen (Le genre international), Céline Garcher (Purifiés by Sarah Kane)...

    Some creations: Hanjo by Yukio Mishima (Festival Turbulences in Strasbourg), Matinée d'ivresse, after Rimbaud (Festival de poésie du Haut-Allier), L'Erotique ou le Second service after K. E Forberg, adaptation with Catherine Corringer...

    Some writing and directing: Since 2000, with the Antartick Company, contemporary writing and "stage writing" have served as a breeding ground for her creative and transmission acts: The Iron Curtain (Festival Friction at the CDN of Dijon, 2003). HELL-HELL (2020) next creation in progress, Les Glisseurs de l'Aperçu, with Patrick Lafani (in progress).
