In the presence of the author Julie-Kazuko Rahir, excerpts from the book will be read by Anne Delehaye (dancer, actress, choreographer, and Alexander Technique practitioner) and Aurélien Patouillard (actor and theatre director)
As part of her long-term research, Julie-Kazuko Rahir, an actress and theatre researcher, develops practical tools to support the actor’s craft—tools that any reader can make use of. She examines the vocabulary commonly used in rehearsal rooms and reflects on the recurring challenges faced by performers, while taking into account space, time, and the movement of thought and emotions. Her approach, informed by the somatic practice of the Moshé Feldenkrais Method, makes it possible to observe multiple changes within oneself and in one’s relationship to others.
