    Towards Perception

For a stage practice from Feldenkrais.

Conducted jointly by Julie-Kazuko Rahir and Christian Geffroy-Schlittler, this research-creation project aims to explore the tools of the Feldenkrais method relevant to acting, to formalise specific lessons and to develop a manual for the actor's autonomous work.

To do this, the researchers will experiment with specific audiences (professional actors, musicians, residents of an eco-neighbourhood, teenagers who have dropped out of school and Feldenkrais practitioners) and compare pedagogies at work in this field. It is a continuation of the Theatre and Feldenkrais project, which has focused on the literature on the subject. It is also the result of the long-standing artistic collaboration of the two leaders of the project. Both of them are actors, Julie-Kazuko Rahir is a Feldenkrais practitioner and Christian Geffroy Schlittler is a theatre director.

Confidences d'actrices dans une réserve à costumes is a film directed by Aline Suter and Julie-Kazuko Rahir (2023).

Four actresses open up to a camera, hidden in the costume storeroom of the Théâtre Océan Nord, during the laboratory of the Rendre Sensible research project in Brussels. We witness their attempt to describe their practical experience of the tools developed in this research.
